Sacraments

Baptism

This sacrament is celebrated by special arrangement made by calling the parish office at 812-634-1875. First-time parents must contact the parish office during their pregnancy to begin preparing themselves for their infant’s baptism. One session, about one hour in length, is required.

(Note: Former parishioners who wish to have their child baptized at either church of St. Peter Celestine Church or St. Raphael Church may complete the preparation process. They need to request that a letter from their pastor be sent to the St. Isidore parish office stating that they are registered and active members of their parish.)

Forms below are to be completed for Baptisms

(All information must be returned to the parish office 2 weeks prior to Baptism)

Holy Orders and Vocations

Families volunteer to receive the vocations cross and pray for vocations for a month before passing it on. If you would like to volunteer for a month contact the parish office or sign up on the sheet at the carport entrance of St. Celestine Church, Celestine.

Prayer for Vocations

O Father, raise up among Christians numerous and holy vocations to the priesthood, to keep the faith alive and guard the gracious memory of your Son, Jesus, through the preaching of his word and the administration of the sacraments, with which you continually renew your faithful. Give us holy ministers of your altar, who are careful and fervent guardians of the Eucharist, the sacrament of the supreme gift of Christ for the redemption of the world. Call ministers of your mercy, who, through the sacrament of reconciliation, spread the joy of your forgiveness. Grant, O Father, that the Church may welcome with joy numerous inspiration of the Spirit of you Son and, docile to his teachings, may she care for vocations to the ministerial priesthood and to the consecrated life. Sustain the bishops, priests, and deacons, consecrated men and women, and all the baptized in Christ, so that they may faithfully fulfill their mission at the service of the Gospel. This we pray you through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Mary, Queen of Apostles, pray for us.
