Student Leadership Team
Application Packet found here.
Thank you for your interest in applying for a position or learning more about the Student Leadership Team. The Youth Ministry Program at St. Isidore has continued to make improvements since its inception in 2016. We first began in the basement of St. Raphael Church, moved to the Rectory Garage, utilized the Parish Hall in Celestine, created a home in the Celestine Elementary, and are now working out of the Celestine Park. Through all of this improvement we needed adults to help provide ministry and build relationships with our students.
Our parish is poised to make a large shift in our Youth Ministry Leadership. This past year we began welcoming students, rising 11th & 12th grade students, to answer their baptismal call at St. Isidore in a new way. By joining the Student Leadership Team, students were able to take the faith that their parents and families have passed onto them and made it their own. The Student Leadership Team, SLT, will be responsible for overseeing the vision, direction, and planning of our Jr. High Programs. They will have a direct impact on students of St. Isidore Parish and thus the future of St. Isidore.
I invite you to review the Student Leadership Team Description and Team Application. Each term for participation is from August to May. Members of the SLT are expected to attend a Leadership Retreat, each monthly team meeting and Jr. High Youth Group, to the best of their ability. Each applicant will be granted an opportunity to interview for a place on the SLT. As space is limited, not every applicant will be selected to join the SLT. The Coordinator of Youth Ministry will keep a waiting list of applicants in the event that a member steps down from the team and needs to be replaced.
Please take some time to review the following documents and prayerfully consider how God may be calling you. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at cgehlhausen@evdio.org or 812-634-1875. All applications must be submitted to me by July 1st..
Thanks,
